IT Projects Consultant

Location: EDMONTON

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid

We are seeking an IT Projects Consultant to become part of our Project Services team, assisting us with Microsoft 365 cloud migration projects and other various projects, like server and network refreshes. This is a hybrid working environment, combining remote work and on-site responsibilities in Edmonton.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute short-term network deployment projects, including Microsoft 365 and networking infrastructure.
  • Architect and design comprehensive network systems to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure efficient and timely deployments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify project needs and develop deployment strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously if needed, ensuring minimal delays and adherence to timelines.
  • Assess client needs and architect appropriate solutions while maintaining stringent standards.
  • Manage and deliver projects independently, following the project delivery methodology: Assess -> Design -> Build/Test -> Deploy Prod -> Support.
  • Provide technical support and maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Continuously learn and improve through work experience and training, maintaining ongoing certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience in assessing environments, planning, building, architecting, testing, and deploying production solutions; projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Cloud Services (Entra ID, InTune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online) and cloud services (Azure/Citrix).
  • Expertise in designing and deploying technologies such as Microsoft 365, Fortinet, Citrix, plus HPE/Aruba, and Cisco/Meraki
  • Knowledge in ITIL processes, project management, and the importance of documentation.

Highly Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft 365 services
  • Network-Attached Storage appliances
  • Storage-Area Network appliances

Additional Requirements:

  • Clean and valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Participation in a weekly on-call rotation with after-hours support responsibilities.
  • Clear criminal record check.
