Microsoft Open Licence Program Ending December 2021

To help simplify licensing, Microsoft is introducing perpetual license purchases through their Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. This new purchasing/renewal method for MS Open Licenses takes effect on January 1, 2022.

While the Open License program services shut down on December 31, 2021.

With the new CSP program you will benefit from a simplified approach and greater flexibility in how you purchase software licenses in a way that’s easy to understand, directly improves licensing asset management, and with predictable costs.

Do I have to do anything now?

All services and products in the Open License program will remain available until December 31, 2021.
