Business UNusal – An Update on the Way We Work

It’s been 60+ days since we’ve been together in the office. There are a few of us who continue to go in because the work cannot be done anywhere else, while the remainder of our team work from home. Like many businesses before COVID-19, our work-from-home strategy was outlined and planned for ‘the future’.  When the notice to shelter in place came through, we were very fortunate to have the in-house expertise to transition our office to work-from-home AND assist our clients in doing the same, in very short order.

It’s 2 months later and the picture above depicts our new normal. We have team meetings (and one-on-ones, and socialize) via video conferencing. We are encouraged to enable our webcams so we can see each other’s faces to connect as humanly as possible. We’ve learned to better use the communication and collaboration tools that we had in place. Our home workspaces are set up with the right tools, secure connections and equipment for working well.

Our Adjusting to the New Normal series of blog articles speaks to some of the things that we’ve put into place as we transitioned to working from home. You can link to the articles below.

Please don’t hesitate to ask us for assistance to make your work from home experience better.

As we continue to look after our clients’ I.T. needs during this time, we’ve also been focusing on strengthening and improving our programs and systems, so we all come out the other side stronger.

  • We’ve finalized the new Managed Backup program for our Managed Services clients,
  • Enhancements to our Advanced Security managed layer are in the works,
  • Automation of our tools is ongoing,
  • The processes of service continue to be refined as we strive for the next milestones,
  • We are immersed in continual learning with technical training, sales product knowledge training, and attending virtual conferences,
  • We’re transitioning to the next version of our business software which has new and improved processes and features.

As governments slowly start to lift social distancing restrictions, our team is preparing for the time when the all-clear is given to return to the office. Can we go back to the way things were? What are the good things we’re taking away from this isolation period? Where did we struggle and what can we learn from it? We are evaluating what our ‘normal’ will look like. This next phase of Business UNusual brings its own set of transitions and challenges.

What we are certain of and our team has proven during this time is:

PC Corp DELIVERS I.T. the way it is BEST DELIVERED: driven by small, NIMBLE and HIGHLY-SKILLED teams of customer-focused, PROACTIVE individuals.

Let us know if we can help you with your back-to-work IT planning and strategies. There’s no question too small or topic too big. We make I.T. easy.
